Site Supervisor (RN) -- (Apply by: 9/9/2010)
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank has a full time position opening for a Site Supervisor (RN). The Site Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the day-to-day operation and supervision of donor screening, blood collection, inventory of supplies, quality assurance and training of new staff for our Pine Lake location.

Responsibilities include:
•Ensure that all activities of the donor room are operated in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
•Assure product and donor safety.
•Provide excellent customer service to employees, donors and guests.


Position requirements:
•Registered Nurse (RN)
•At least 2 years donor collections or other related experience.
•Previous supervisory experience necessary.
•Valid Nebraska Driver’s license
•Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
•Read and Speak English

Collections Technician -- (Apply by: 9/9/2010)
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank has a position opening for a Collection Technician. The Collection Technician is responsible for assuring the quality blood collection services for the Nebraska Community Blood Bank both at the fixed and blood drive locations.

Responsibilities include:
•Ensure blood drive screening and collections meet all requirements.
•Assure product and donor safety.
•Provide excellent customer service to donors and guests.


Position requirements:
•Phlebotomy certification and/or experience preferred
•Valid Nebraska Driver’s license
•Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
•Read and Speak English

Other skills:
•Excellent customer service skills.
•Ability to organize and prioritize.
•Basic computer skills helpful.
•Proactive interaction with internal and external customers.
•Positive attitude.


Part Time or Full Time Medical Technologist MT or MLT (ASCP or equiv.) -- (Apply by: 9/20/2010)
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank has a part time position open for a Testing Technologist.

Responsibilities include:
•FDA-required blood product quality control testing
•Transfusion service for local hospital and dialysis clinics
•Preparation of blood components for distribution

Position requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Associate’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent
•ASCP certification or equivalent
•Blood banking or transfusion service experience
•Available variable days and hours 6:30 am to 6:30 pm
•On-call availability some nights, weekends and holidays
•Read and speak English
